We have had one thing after another to happen to our computer and then busy, busy, busy with the kids. What a summer!

Oh my goodness! Does this say anything about this book or what? This was a great read, especially if you are in the medical field and a Christian, you will love it! This book keeps you wondering about Dr. Camille Weller and her life. What truly made her want to become a surgeon? Will she really become one of the boys? Does she find her true love? What haunts her and keeps her awake at night? Does she find the answers to all of these or not? You will have to read it to see.

Dr. Kraus has done a great job with this book. His expertise and knowledge of the mission field is a great assest. He keeps you wondering what will happen next; these are the type of books that I just love. Thank you Dr. Kraus for covering the medical, mission, and the spiritual fields in this book. You have done a great job with all the gifts that God has given you.

"Becoming Lucy" by Martha Rogers

O.k. This is a book about Christianity, love, and the Old West all wrapped up in one. I love this book it keeps your interest from the very beginning. It's one of those books you don't want to put down because you want to see want is going to happen next. It is so vivid in detail that you feel like you are there witnessing everything for your self.

Thank you Ms. Rogers for putting out such a wonderful book and may God bless you for spreading his word and allowing him to work through you.

Well I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I know that we have. I want to start off this first blog of the new year by saying thank you to all of you who have been there for us this past year.

Many people would call what we went through a bad time, but we call it a learning time. God taught me so much during Michael's unemployment. One of the best things that He taught me was to be content with what you have and enjoy it. Before this I was never satisfied with what I had. I always wanted more and thought the more I had the happier I would be and the more people would like me. The truth is the more that I tried to obtain the more depressed and unhappy I became. When I could not obtain the things I wanted when I wanted them then I became more unhappy. It took Michael's being laid off to make me realize that it wasn't things that I needed but God and the love that He wants to share with me and then in turn give to others. When I started giving love to others, true love, I started getting true love back in abundance. I now know what being a true friend is all about and how to be one. I have also learned that God will put people in your path sometimes as a test to see how you will do. On this we just have to do the best we can and listen to what God would say to us during this time and do it. If we show unconditional love towards people and not things then we will get unconditional love back. Isn't that pretty cool? Things cannot give anything back. We eventually get tired of them and want more. Think about it, when you smile at someone don't they usually smile back. With love it's the same thing, you give it, you get it in return. This is more important than any thing can do for us and God can show us how to obtain it free of charge. Think of all the money that you can save. Now, I am not saying quit buying things. We all like our toys in life and each of us has the little kid inside of us that is so excited when we get something new that we can't wait to play with it. And I believe that God put that there. We just need to realize that things cannot and will not ever do for us what God can. He freely loves us no matter what. If we want to call ourselves Christian then shouldn't imitate this?

1Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Life Lessons

Hello everyone,
If there is anyone still reading, I apologize for not having posted in so long. I have been in somewhat of a funk, since Michael lost his job. But I know that God is good and He is our provider. Just let me let you in on what God has done for us during this time. We have had so many blessings that I can't even count them and they have shown up in various ways. We have had people to give us checks out of the clear blue, we have been able to pay all of our bills without being late and even continuing to pay extra on Michael's truck (Dave Ramsey's snowball), we have been blessed by friends who have carried us out to eat, friends who have paid for me to have special little girly things done, and most of all our family has really pulled together throughout this whole thing. Some of our family paid for us to go on vacation, some bought us groceries, and some paid for the kids to do things that otherwise they wouldn't have gotten to do. I thank God for all that He has done through all of this. When I thought there would be no way that we were going to pay our bills that month, God would show up and show out! For those who wonder about God let me tell you, He is the only reason we have made it through all of this. He is the one who we leaned on, cried out to, and most of all learned from. God has taught us so much about finances while going through this time in our lives. I thank Him everyday, now when I get up whether it is cloudy and rainy or the sun is shining. I have drawn closer to him and our marriage has been made stronger due to this. I no longer have the fear of saying no we can't do this or that because we don't have the money, I now relish the fact that we don't really need this or that. I have realized how little we can live off of. I love the relationship that I have with my husband and my heavenly father now because both have been made stronger. Our family has been made stronger due to this. God has not only provided but lots of times over provided. You know there is a saying that goes; It's not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain; well I am dancing through this all the way to the feet of my Father. Thank you God for all that you have taught me and are still teaching me through all of this. God, you are so wonderful, gracious, and loving. I pray that every person that reads this will have a new understanding of who God is and what He wants to do in their lives. I pray that they too will start dancing in the rain, it can be lots of fun.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Easter Day

My little monkeys on Easter Sunday. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, I know that we did.

You all know how much I love God and how glad I am to relate to others what He teaches me. Well yesterday was another teaching day for me and He used a 5 year old to do it. I was really upset because we didn't buy anything for the kids for Easter. When I was growing up my parents always bought me an Easter basket in which I couldn't wait to open. I was all excited about what I was getting. So instead of the day being just about Jesus, it also became about me. Every Easter I knew that I would be getting something, so before the holiday arose I knew to start asking for something. It became all about what was I getting, not what God had done for us, not even about the beating that Jesus took for us, but what "thing" could I ask for next.

Yesterday, when I was upset it was brought to my attention that our children had not asked for anything, but instead our daughter wanted to give something away. All she was asking for was to give some Pizzelles (cookies) to a lady at church who she has come to love very much. This was my lesson; quit thinking about what we don't have or what we want but instead use what we have to make someone's day. The day is all about giving. Isn't that what Jesus did for us? He gave His life for us so that all we have to do when we sin is ask for forgiveness. He made our day, everyday, as long as we believe in him. Man, how great is that? When I saw the look in that lady's eyes and how happy my daughter had made her by not being selfish, I thought how God must feel when we come to Him with a thankful heart instead of a gimme heart. It was a lesson a long time in the making but one that was taken to the deepest part of my heart and I will never forget.

Thank you, so much God for helping me to get through these hard times and for the blessings that you have so graciously given to us unconditionally. Help me to love you more every day and to be more thankful to you for all that you do. Help me to have an unconditonal love toward others as you have toward us. And thank you so much for the lessons that you teach us even when it's through a child. I love you, God!!!

Philippians 2:3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Scrappin' Trash Bags

I know that you all are going to think that I am crazy and you are right, I am, but I just wanted to post these trash bags that I made. They fit on the Chatterbox Tag-along or the Creative Memories Sidekick. They have a plastic lining so that you don't ruin the material on the outside and best of all they are reusable. This means no more hauling a trash can around or searching for a plastic bag. I have several made up ready to sale, so if you know anyone interested please let me know.

Calling all Scrapbookers

We are having a Mission Crop at our church on Sat. First of all I have not had both children well at the same time since the last of January. When one gets done with their antibiotic, then the other one seems to need one. Right now, Joseph is not feeling quite himself and Morgan finished her antibiotic yesterday. At lunch yesterday he told me he wasn't hungry and wanted to go to bed, when I checked his temp. it was 102 degrees, gave him some Motrin when he awoke it was up to 104. Needless to say we battled this all night last night. This morning he has eaten and his temp. has stayed around 100 degrees which is much better. We go to the Dr. tomorrow for Morgan a recheck on her sinus infection and to see about Joseph.

Michael still has no job and so far no prospects. We thought about opening a rental store again, but that door was closed, which is o.k. with me. I didn't want to have to borrow that much money, when we are trying to pay off debt. So please pray for him. He has gotten to the point of being frustrated a lot and I know that this has to be hard on him. On the good news side, we have been receiving blessings from God. One being that even though my hours were cut at the hospital from 4 days a month to 3, I have been allowed to start taking call, which will help out money wise; thank you, God. We have also had some other things to happen which I will mention at a later date. But please keep us in your prayers. I know that God has a job out there for Michael and I know that He will open that door of opportunity at just right time, but as humans we get impatient. I know that we both are at this point now, we want him to have a job and we want to get out of debt, now.

Matthew 7:7 Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened.

Happy Valentine's Day

First of all, thank you for all of your prayers. I know that God is in control, but as my husband told me this morning it's not just talking about faith it is living it, which is the hard part at times. But thank you all for everything.

Next, these are some treats that I made for Morgan and Joseph to carry to preschool for their Valentine's party today. The first ones are Joseph's rice crispy treats and the second ones are Morgan's treats. I am in need of lots of prayer. We will start off with Morgan, who was diagnosed last week with pneumonia, she is now better and hopefully will get a good report at her Dr. visit Wed. So that was lots of sleep lost because of worrying about her high temp., which would climb to 103 to 104 and wouldn't come below 100, no matter what we tried. Needless to say there were about 3-4 nights that I slept with her just to make sure she was o.k.
Next, I am planning for the Mission Crop, which is coming up in April. This is a scrapbooking crop to help raise money for our foreign mission team which will be traveling to Honduras this June. This is an all day affair with vendors, door prizes, games and 3 meals. We have lots fun but there is a lot of time and effort that goes into it, so much so that the week after I am totally worthless because I am so tired. I usually start working on this at least 4 months ahead of time, just to try and get everything right and I don't quit until the day of the crop, in which case the mission team let me crop all day. Thank you!!!
Finally, the economy has hit our household. My hours at work have been cut from 4 days a month to 3 and now my husband will be laid off at the end of the week. With all this said I know that there are worse things that can happen, but I am asking for prayer anyway. We have some other things in the works, but we both need direction and guidance from God. My husband stated to me today that he has prayed so much that he has asked God to sit down and have a glass of sweet tea and tell him exactly what he needed to do. You have to know my husband, he loves his sweet tea.
I know that God is here and has some big plans for us and I know that He will bring us through all of this better than when we started. But for my sanity please pray. I know what Matthew says about worrying, but I am human and a Big worrier. I love God with all my heart and only want to please him, but I also want to make sure that what we are about to do is His will and that He will pour out his blessings on us.
Thank you, Lord for all that you do for us everyday. I know that each day you give us is a miracle in itself and a new beginning. Thank you for my family and allowing me to be there for my children in the good times when they are happy and in the bad times when they are sick. Thank you also, for the friends that you have given me through church and scrapbooking. Thank you for giving me a hobby to take my mind off of the craziness of this world. Thank you most of all for your word, mercy, grace, and unconditional love.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain; faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The Weather plus the sinus crud=not so good

It snowed yesterday, not a lot but we take what we can get here, but we were unable to go outside to enjoy it because we all have the sinus crud. I took the kids to the doctor Tues. because they were running low grade temps and had snotty noses. I know this doesn't sound like much but Joseph has been snottin' for 2 wks and Morgan had a low grade temp 1 1/2 wks ago and now it's back. The over the counter medicine has not done anything for it, so here we go. I guess we have been blessed so far that we haven't been sick since Oct. Anyway I hope that we are on the mend.

For you scrappers, I have found a new book series. It is by Rebeca Seitz and it is called "Sisters, Ink". I am on the first in the series and I really like it. I have just finished a book she wrote before she started the series, "Prints Charming", and it was great. I just loved the ending and I laughed so much that some nights my sides would hurt. They are both based on scrapbooking and what a great job she has done.

Happy Birthday, Morgan!!!

From this to

this in five years.

Well my oldest is five today and it is breaking my heart every year that she has a birthday, but I know that she has to grow up. She is a miracle from God. The story starts more than five years ago, when Michael and I got married and knew that we both wanted a family. It took 7 1/2 years for the dream of being parents to come true. After much prayer and finally laying everything at God's feet He blessed us with a pregnancy. We didn't care what sex the baby would be, all we cared was that we were going to be parents! We found out it was a girl and everything was going great until the 34th week of pregnancy. That is when I couldn't feel her move as much and I found out that my blood pressure was up. The doctors wanted to me to be on bed rest and come back the next day to check everything out. The next day my mom took me to doctor and they stated that I had Preeclampsia and wanted to take her right then, so here we go to the hospital. Once they induced my labor and the contractions started we hit another bump in the road; her heart rate started dropping every time I would have a contraction so the need for an emergency C-section came into play. She came out breathing on her own, needing no oxygen at all, and weighing all of 3 lbs. and 14 oz. She was perfect in every way. She needed to stay in the NICU for only one week, so that she could learn how to suck, everything else was going great. After bringing her home we had to account for every little bit that she ate and make sure that her body temp. stayed where it was supposed to. Now look at my baby (she will always be my baby no matter how big or old she gets), growing up and getting older. It's hard to believe that she is 5 today when it doesn't seem like it has been that long since we brought her home. I am so glad that God answered my prayers and made me a parent not once but twice. Thank you God for your wonderful miracles every day and thank you for giving me the opportunity to see them for myself.

1 Samuel 2:27-28 "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord."

Catchin' Up

Sorry everyone for being so long on posting with the holidays plus our anniversary, it's hard to keep up in December. So here we go playing catch up. First we went with my husband's stepmom and dad to see the ICE exhibit which featured the Grinch. We all had a great time but the kids just loved it! Halfway through Joseph's hands got cold and he was ready to go. We had a big time in Nashville! They also did the Build-a-Bear thing. Joseph got a dinosaur so he was in his glory and Morgan got the bunny. They had so much fun.

Then the next weekend we had Michael's graduation. YEAH!!!! I am so proud of him, he now has a BS in Business Management. He has worked so hard for this. I had planned a surprise meal for him afterward and had the whole family over and some friends.

Then the next weekend happened to be our anniversary and we went to Gatlinburg. It was snowing as I took this picture. Beautiful wasn't it? Brian and Karen went with us and we had a great time together, but was such a long ride. Brian and Michael decided on the way out that they wanted to do the indoor skydiving. They had a great time and I think both of them loved it! Karen and I watched from the observation deck.

These are the gifts that I made for Morgan and Joseph's class at Preschool. They are Christmas tags that I made that the children could color and put on presents. I thought they turned out really nice.

The next thing is gifts that I made for various family members. The first picture is the money envelope that I made for my stepmother-in-law and father-in-law for their Christmas present. The next picture is gift card holders that I made for several members of our family. This was my first time trying either one of these and I think they turned out quite nice. I made this clipboard for my aunt who is a teacher, lives in Knoxville and went to school at UT and still is a big UT fan. Instead of using paper on this, I painted the clipboard then stamped it with Crayon Kids alphabet from

Stampin' Up, after that my husband took it outside and put the sealer on it, then I tied the ribbon on the top. I thought this turned out very Volish and I hope that she really likes it.

We didn't know what to do for our wonderful neighbor who is like part of the family, Ms. Cook. So Morgan came up with the idea to make her a shirt and put angels on it like they did in Preschool. So this is the shirt that we made for her. Take into consideration that it has been a long time since I made a shirt, but I think that she liked it. The angels are actually their handprints and the wings are their fingers.

Now, we celebrated Morgan's birthday Sat. since all the grandparents could be here. She had a Wall-E and Eve plus a Tinkerbell birthday party. The reason for both is that we could not find everything in Wall-E. So we had a Wall-E birthday cake and a Tinkerbell pinata. She didn't seem to mind the difference. All of her grandparents were in attendance except for Ging-Ging which we will have to celebrate with him later, plus a few of her friends. They had a blast and we had fun watching and listening to them; they are so funny.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!

This photo was taken by Amy Bratton and didn't she do a great job! This is the only time that we have professional pictures taken and I am always glad that we take the time and save the money to do this.

I want to say to everyone that I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas and that you are truly blessed this Christmas. May God shower you with blessings and may you not forget that this is Jesus' birthday, not just a day to get presents but to imitate Jesus by giving. I hope that you all have fun with your families this Christmas and do enjoy each other for you will not live forever and this is what memories are made of.

I am sorry that I have not posted in a while but I have busy trying to get ready for Christmas and Michael has a new work schedule which has taken some getting used to but I think that I am almost there. I am saying this because I have been going through some things in the past few days that the enemy has tried to use to take me down and control me. But it is not working, thanks to God, my husband, and a few friends. We have a choice everyday when we wake up if this is going to be a good day or a bad one. I believe that God would have us to choose the good one. We need to remember that no matter what is said about us or what is done to us that God is always right beside us, guiding us through every valley and up every mountain as long as we take the time to listen.

I am currently reading two books; "The Love Dare" and "Facing Your Giants". While I was reading last night in the "Love Dare", one of the first things that it says is to be patient. Now how hard is that? For me, quite hard, I am not a patient person at all. In fact these are the three paragraphs that spoke to me last night:

If your spouse offends you, do you quickly retaliate, or do you stay under control? Do you find that anger is your emotional default when treated unfairly? If so, you are spreading poison rather than medicine.

Anger is usually caused when the strong desire for something is mixed with disappointment or grief. You don't get what you want and you start heating up inside. It is often an emotional reaction that flows out of our own selfishness, foolishness, or evil motives.

Patience, however, makes us wise. It doesn't rush to judgement but listens to what the other person is saying. Patience stands in the doorway where anger is clawing to burst in, but waits to see the whole picture before passing judgement.

Now let that soak in for a moment. Patience makes us wise. That's one way of putting it, but it got my attention. When we look at the bible God tells us so much about being patient, so why don't we get it? That's probably what He is thinking too. Sometimes we let our anger get the best of us and then we make a mess of things, when if we would just sit back and listen and be patient things would be a lot better off and we might get along a little better in the world. How many times have we all had someone trying to explain things to us or explain why they feel the way they do and instead of listening we burst in with our own comments or we go straight to the defense? I know that have stuck my feet in my mouth and chewed on them only to decide how awful the taste was one too many times. So I am asking God to give me His patience and His ability to listen to others and most of all self-control over any situation that arises.

Thank you, God for this new day that you give us and thank you for the choice that you give us every day.

Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

New Fish

If you have read my profile you will see that we now have 4 fish instead of two. The reason being that we have had to have another fish funeral Sun. night for Morgan's fish Rojo, which has been sick for sometime and Sun. God took it home. For those of you who are laughing, I know that it is funny having a fish funeral, but when you have a little whose is upset because her fish has died and she misses it, just remind yourself how we feel when someone close to us dies. Even though we know that God has healed them in His way we still hurt and so do the little ones. Rojo was something that Morgan was close to and she lost him, so of course he had to be replaced. Well Michael has outdone himself again, by bringing another fish home plus a new fish tank. Not just any ordinary fish tank would do and not any color of fish would do, he brought home a Mermaid fish tank and just the color of fish she wanted, blue. Well the new fish is now named Nemo2 because we have already had a Nemo whose has since passed and gone to fish heaven also. So now what do we do with the old fish tank? Well, we put it in the bathroom which is decorated with an aquatic theme anyway and we got two goldfish, which the kids have named Cinderella and Little Daddy. Can you guess who named which fish? So there you have it our newest additions to our pet family.

Proverbs 20:7
The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.

Very Blessed

We've all the heard the old saying, "You can tell how blessed you are by the number of friends you have". That being said I have now realized just how blessed I truly am. Monday was my birthday and I thanked God for all that I have in my life; my husband, children, family, and friends. Last Friday night was a dream come true for me. I had my first girls night out and they all helped me to celebrate my birthday. We went to a movie and dinner afterward, which I had to wear a crown and a button that said it was my birthday. We had a ball! God is putting all sorts of women in my life and they are quickly becoming my friends. This is something which I have never had. I never trusted any female person that came into my life because of being hurt by them in school, now it seems that they are becoming something that I can't imagine my life without. I know that we all take things for granted from time to time, but maybe we all need to take time to tell our friends just how special they are to us. True friends are the ones that you can tell them that they are getting on your last nerve and they don't get mad. I have learned that when you allow God to work on you from the inside out it tends to make you a better person all the way around. I guess my mamaw was right when she always told me "pretty is as pretty does", she was definitely in touch with God on that one. I know that it is hard to open to things that have hurt you in the past, but God knows what they are and He can help you get over those hurts, it's just a matter of laying it at his feet. Give Him the bags and let Him tote them not you, you will realize what a weight has been lifted off you. I am so glad that I have my girlfriends (I've always wanted to say that) and I am so thankful of what they mean to me and that I allowed myself to be opened up and used by God. I have posted of picture of Friday night, keep in mind that it was taken with a cell phone and no I don't have the one made with the crown on my head. Thank you girls (you know who you all are) for coming into my life.

Baby Gift-Altered Paint Can

I know that by now you are asking why is her blog called Blessed and Scrappin' when we have never seen anything scrapbooking. I used some flowers that I already had that were pink, blue, and brown, with a rhinestone in the middle of the flower. I used Twinkle Type lettering in pink for

the baby's initials on the top. I used some pink and white gingham ribbon around the top and brown ribbon with flowers on it around the bottom. My butterflies were made on the Cricut using the Walk in My Garden cartridge. My paper was brown cardstock at the top and the bottom was Making Memories Animal Cracker paper. I adhered and sealed everything with Modge Podge. I then filled it with baby wash, a onesie, Desitin, and hand sanitizer. I hope that she will like it.

I hope that you all are having a blessed day. And remember that God loves you just like you are.

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. I don't know exactly what has caused my tiredness. It started when I came back from Cropical Paradise and I think that it has taken me this long to get over it, which has been about 2 weeks ago. By the way we all had a ball at Cropical Paradise, but lost a lot of sleep. This was the first time that I had been to a scrapbooking retreat out of town and now we are checking out others that are not that far to go to. Anyway, I have been busy with getting our Mission Crop together at church (a fund raiser for our foreign mission team), our women's ministry (which I am part of a group that is putting things together for women), and getting together our monthly crop at the church. If anyone wants to come to either just let me know. On top of that I carried our newest addition; our dog, Gracie, to be spayed last week. So things around here have been very busy, but I am making myself take the time to post. Sorry, I will try not to be so long the next time that I post.

Michael has one more class left in school and he will be finished. YEAH!!!! He will graduate in Dec., thank goodness. Now I think he has his sights set on bigger fish, like maybe a master's, we will see. I think he needs a break first, he has worked so hard on this and had many a late nights. Speaking of school, the kids have started back to preschool. They are having such a good time, but I am realizing that this is Morgan's last year at preschool then we start regular school and this is something I don't know if I am ready for. I think she could care less, but I am not ready to see my oldest baby go through those big doors yet. Oh well, I have one more year, so I will make the best of it.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

The New Dog At Our House

In the last post I told you about a flea problem from a dog that has wandered up. Well we have tried to see if this dog belongs to anyone and no one is claiming her so we have decided to keep her. She is really good with the kids and they have named her Gracie. Gracie has been with us now for about 6 weeks and has not been a problem except for the fleas (which we hope are under control) and chewing everything in sight. The kids are learning not leave their plastic toys out in the yard because Gracie will chew, chew, chew. I don't think she likes staying in the backyard but I am afraid to let her out in the yard all the time for fear of her getting run over and then we would all be very upset, especially Morgan and Joseph. They love playing with her and she is very gentle with them. She even plays fetch, she sits, and she keeps guard on the two youngsters. We are truly blessed, why I don't know but I guess God wanted us to have her for some reason. You can tell how gentle she is with the kids by the picture below. They were playing as though they were mommy and daddy and they were going to the store with Gracie in tow.

Now for one of our other babies, MoJo. I hope that you can tell by the picture how big he has gotten and he is only 6 1/2 months old. He is our big baby. The kids are still getting used to him because he loves to jump. We've had another Saint in the past but he did not jump, so I am not used to this either. They are such lovable dogs, but this one does have a mind of his own. When I take him out for a walk somedays he does really well and others he tends to be stubborn and stop to sit in the middle of the road, which is very frustrating. Hopefully with time he will get better.

We have been pretty busy with the garden but that is now ending, thank goodness. Now don't get me wrong, it doesn't feel right if we don't have a garden then work ourselves to death putting it up. We did that one year and it just wasn't right. I just have to keep my eye on the prize and that is the wonderful food that we will have this winter, YUM! Now it is time to plant greens to put in the freezer and I love greens.

We had our monthly crop at the Vineyard Church this past Sat. and we had a blast! We had about 15 people to show up and some old friends came to crop, some that have been missed greatly, so we were all glad to see them. Teresa and Wanda hadn't been there in several months, so it was good to see them again. Kim, her daughter Casey, and Pam F. came and I hadn't got to crop with them since the scrapbook store in town closed. I accused them of getting mad and pouting, but they know I love them and I am so glad they came. There were also some new faces; Dianne O. has been to our Mission Crop but not our monthly one. Donna G. also came with Dianne and this was her first time there and I was thrilled to see them come. I love our monthly crops. I don't usually get a lot done; I am usually to busy running my mouth, but then again that is half the fun. I love going around talking to everyone and seeing what everyone is doing. It is so much fun and interesting to see what they are all doing and see the talent that God has given them. It makes you realize how special we all are in His eyes, without Him we would not have the ability or funds to do any of this.

Psalm 118:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

The Fair is Here!

Joseph and Brenlee
Joseph, Morgan, & Brenlee
Morgan & Brenlee
Catherine, Brenlee, Joseph, Morgan, & Caitlyn

Hello everyone,

Sorry that I have not posted in so long but we have been busy with our garden and with other things that I will explain later. Remember my post His bounty is good, well it has turned out to be GREAT! Thank you, God for bountiful blessings. We now have peas, green beans, okra, and pickles. Our corn will be ready soon and the okra and cucumbers are still coming. So here we go!

Last night we took the kids to the county fair and boy did they have a good time! Joseph wasn't going to ride anything until we met up with their cousin, Brenlee. Then Joseph changed his mind and wanted to ride what the girls were riding, I guess the macho thing starts early. They had a blast and so did we watching them. Their facial expressions on some of the rides was priceless. We stayed out late and Morgan still didn't want to come home and Brenlee didn't want to leave either, in fact the only one ready to go was Joseph. He was tired beyond belief, but didn't go to sleep on the way home like we thought. I guess he was too wound up. He and Morgan talked non-stop all the way home. Thank you, Lord for those little conversations that I get to hear.

Today I have been getting my house back together from having it sprayed for fleas from a dog that has wondered up and getting ready for a monthly crop as well as a mission team fund raising crop. We have actually had this dog for about a month but didn't notice any fleas until last weekend. We have been fighting this battle all week when we gave up and called the exterminator and they came out yesterday to spray inside and out, so maybe they are gone.

As for the crops, the monthly one pretty much takes care of itself. Thank you Lord for e-mail. But the fund raising crop for our foreign mission team at church is another story. If you ask anyone who is around me; I am tied up in knots until it is over, then I sleep for about a week. This one has been much harder, though. I am not having very good luck with my vendors this time. This has usually not been a problem but this time it is. I don't know if it is due to another crop going on the same day in another town or what. I know that everything will work out the way God wants it to; I just have to have faith and reassurance sometimes. What can I say, I am human. There is an excitement in the air throughout all of this and I can't wait to see what God is going to do next! Thank you God for Psalms, which helps get me up when I am down.

Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

I have won an award and finally got it on my blog

I received this award from http://www.boscraps.blogspot.com/ and http://www.praisemom.blogspot.com/

Here are the rules:
1. I started off by walking one of our dogs which is a St. Bernard who is only 6 months old and weighs over 50 lbs. Anyway, I am trying to get a handle on him before he gets too big so I am trying to train him now. I have bought a new harness for him which is called the Gentle Leader and is supposed to help stop jumping up (which he does a lot), stop pulling, stop lunging toward other dogs, help him to learn to sit and lay down. I will let you know if it works.

After this it was off to picking peas out of the garden before it got too hot and then to shelling them. For something that my husband didn't think would make very much, God has proved us wrong. They have taken off and boy are we blessed! We have finished picking our green beans, I think that we will have enough to make it through the winter :0), since we have about 29 quarts put up.

You know this is the year where our garden was put in late, only 1 squash plant came up, and we didn't think that we were going to get that much out of the garden due to it being very hot and dry, but God surprised us once again with His power. But isn't that how God is; always keeping you on your toes? I think sometimes He does it just so we can't say we are bored and sometimes I think He just loves to watch our reaction and have a good laugh at us. He is such an amazing God! Not only has He provided us with enough to last all winter (and then some), but he has some how given my husband and I the time to pick it and put it up. He has also blessed us with a wonderful neighbor who has helped me shell peas on more than one occasion; love you Cookie. He tells us that all we have to do is ask and it shall be given (paraphrasing) and that is just what we did. We asked and He provided, not just enough to make it through the winter, but enough to allow our parents enjoy the bounty also. That's my God!!! He doesn't just provide, but he over provides. So thank you Lord for this wonderful bounty that you have given us to share with others, especially when prices are going through the roof and things don't seem to look so good. You are always there being gracious at exactly your precise time, which as you know happens to be perfect.

Psalm 65:11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

Are you Jesus?

I received this e-mail today and it couldn't be more true. We not only need to spread the word with our mouth, but with our actions (lifestyle ministry) which sometimes speak louder than words can. I have posted this in hopes that you will read it then ask yourself, "Are you Jesus?" Thank you Pam for sending this, it couldn't have been more timely. You are a great friend to have.

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding.ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did.The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight. The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?' She nodded through her tears.. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.'As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister....' He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'
He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus? That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Getting Caught Up Week

Well, this week has been one of trying to get caught up with everything that was left undone for the 2 weeks that we had swimming lessons. By this I mean that the house had not gotten cleaned for 2 weeks, the laundry was done just enough to get by and the fridge had not been cleaned out in that time either. I now feel much better that all this stuff has gotten done and we now have a very clean house, the laundry needs to be tackled again ( I feel as though I could this every day and still not be caught up), and the fridge is now without anything that has something growing on it YEAH!!! It's amazing how you can feel so proud of your house, especially when it is clean. I love it!!!

Today while we were at church during worship, I was sitting there going through my bible for scripture that God has been giving to me lately; when my daughter came up to me and started to love and hug on me. I looked at her and her hair was a wreck! Her nice little headband that she had in was crooked on her head and her hair was no longer neat, but a mess. As I started to straighten her headband and fix her hair I felt that God was trying to tell me something. I stopped and just looked at her and felt God saying, even though you are not perfect and look a mess sometimes I love you just as much if not more than you love her. We all have this idea of what a christian is supposed to look like, you know, nice, neat, have it all together type of person; when in reality God doesn't care. He still loves us in the morning when our hair is all over our head, when we have been in the garden and stink to high heaven, he loves us when we look in the mirror and don't see anything beautiful; he sees nothing but beauty. God is a God of love, faithfulness, and of beauty. Yes, there are some bad times that we go through in life, but He has allowed this for some reason or purpose and sometimes we make the bad choice, but He is always there for us. He is always there with His arms wide open waiting for us to run into them so He can love us, the same way that we do our children. We must understand that no matter what we do or what we look like, He loves us. He is our Daddy, our Father, our Dad, our Pappa; call Him what you want but He's there, ALWAYS!

Ecc. 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of mean; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

So much to cover in so little time

Well it's been a hectic weekend but a fun one. Friday Joseph went with his daddy to work, which he thoroughly enjoys. This was his prize for doing so well at swimming lessons. He enjoyed it so much that he did not want to come home when I went to pick him up so he could take a nap. Morgan's prize was to go to Hobby Lobby to pick her out some stickers for her scrapbook. She was so excited that every time the cashier would ring something up she would say, "I am going to scrapbook with my mommy", of course the cashier just ignored her, but it sure brought joy to my heart. We all had a fun day, YEAH!

Saturday was a blast! This was our monthly crop at the church that I attend and boy did we have fun. I think there were 14 people to show up, which is great especially since it is summer time. I had one friend that brought her daughter who is 9 (I think) and she was wonderful. I would watch her and think one day I hope that is me and my daughter. So Anndrea you don't know how that blessed me to see your daughter scrapbooking with you. Which brings me to a point that was on my heart then and still is. I know that sometimes we all need time away from our children and spouses just to keep us sain, but sometimes our children need us to be with them just to keep them sain. When I would look at Anndrea's daughter scrapbooking you could see that she truly loved what she was doing. She could not have enjoyed it if her mother had not taken the time to show her what to do and to help her do it. This was a blessing to me and something that I hope to have with my daughter. I hope that one day when I am old and gray that my daughter will still want to scrapbook with me. Don't get me wrong we don't make a habit of bringing our children all the time because this is our time, but sometimes it just works that way and when it does we all understand and no one seems to mind. I think this is due in part to everyone's children being so well behaved and having a love for scrapbooking too.

Any way, getting back to the rest of the day. I know that I sometimes talk too much at these crops and only end up getting one page done, but when I come home I feel as though a weight has been lifted off of me. I feel like these people know who I am and accept me for who I am, so when I have had a bad week or I am just grouchy, I know that these women will listen (some probably ignore me-can't blame them) and just let me vent. And when I leave I feel that I am refreshed and ready to take on whatever God has in store. This is such a great thing to have, friends that have an unconditional love. I know that God has put these people in my life for a purpose, right now I think that it is not only the common bond of scrapbooking but also the uplifting that I need from time to time. So to all of you who come to the monthly crops at the Vineyard, thank you and may you be blessed the way that you bless me.

Sundays are usually very busy, but this Sun. was different. After we went to church, instead of going out to eat we came home and had fried bologna sandwiches and man were they goooood. Linda had brought bologna sandwiches to the crop Sat. and after I ate one, I was hungry for a fried one, so thank you Linda for the lunch idea. After that we all took a nap, which is unusual for Michael and I. We usually have so much to get caught up on that naps are out of the question, but like I said this Sun. was different. We had my dad and his girlfriend over for supper, which is becoming the normal Sun. dinner, but this Sun. our next door neighbor had her daughter and granddaughter here, so they all came over. The best thing about this was our next door neighbor cooked supper. Yes, we do know how blessed we are to have someone next door to us like Cookie. She has been a blessing to us ever since we moved in (I will tell that story another time). After everyone left, Morgan and I put her scrapbooking stuff in a bag that I don't use anymore and boy was she tickled to death. I don't think that I could have done anything else to make her any happier. I told you this Sun. was different but it was the best.

Now for today, Mon., we all loaded up this morning and took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and spent the whole morning and some of the afternoon there. Michael met us for lunch, which surprised the kids. It ended being me, Cookie, Lisa, Lauren, Morgan, and Joseph a truck full, but a fun bunch. I don't know who had the most fun the kids or me and Lisa. It has been so long since we went to Chuck E Cheese that I didn't remember to take some of the token receipts that Lauren had brought with her, I felt really bad, even though she said it was o.k. I had a memory lapse, oops.:( We all still seemed to have a great time.

This weekend and today, God has been teaching me to let go of things that I worry about so much that mean nothing. I feel as though he has been teaching me how be a kid again and have fun out of life instead of worrying about it. I am by nature a worrier and God is really dealing with me on that. I have stopped having fun with life and started having everything so planned out that my hubby tells me that I am borderline OCD, this is not good. I have been one that if it is not planned to the "t" then I become very anxious and started going into a frenzy of sorts. So I am learning to deal with life as it is thrown to me and trust God that he really does know what He is doing. This is really taking me out of my comfort zone, but don't kids and God do that to you sometimes?

Matthew 6:25-27

25Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet you heavenly Father feeds them. Are you no much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Last Day of Swimming Lessons

Joseph, Mr. Jimmy, and Morgan

Well today was it, the last day of swimming lessons. Joseph has made tremendous progress. He is now going under water, jumping off the side of the pool, going down the slide, and going through the hula hoops (you have to put your face in the water to go through them). This is such an improvement from where we started, with him not wanting to put his face in the water at all. Yesterday he told me he didn't want to go under water because he was afraid, so before we went through the gate we repeated our bible verse and man did God work. All of the sudden Joseph was ready to slide, he was ready to jump off the side of the pool, and he was ready to go under the hula hoops. God worked a major miracle in him, yesterday. Today when we got there he was ready to take on the world (as long as it was in the pool). Thank you God for showing up and showing out.

Now, for Morgan. She has made major improvements also. She could already put her face in the water but now we love showing everyone how we can go under water. She is trying her best at holding her breath and gliding underwater, but she has to work on how long she stays under. She can go a tiny bit, but they want her to go longer. She has overcome her fear of the slide and she will jump off the side of the pool also. Each time she gets ready to go down the slide you can see her saying her bible verse, which I know pleases God that she depends on him so much. We will have to work on her straightening her legs when she swims, she wants to pull them under her like a frog. But she has tried to do everything that has been asked of her and tried her best. To this I say "Kudos", Morgan.

It's amazing when we as adults overcome a fear, we all feel so relieved and feel the freedom that God gives us. But I believe when you see a child overcome a fear, you know that God is not only smiling because of what you taught the child, but He is rejoicing because of what the child has learned and will not forget. This faith has been instilled deep within the heart and as we get to be adults we sometimes forget that it is ours for the choosing. We let so much of life get in the way. We think and analyze things way too much, instead of just taking God's word as it is. We can learn so much from a child if we will on let ourselves be a child once in a while.

Psalm 23:4 I will not be afraid for you are right beside me. (NLT)

2nd Week of Swimming Lessons Mon. and Tues.

Well here we are into the second week of swimming lessons. Let me start off saying that Morgan and Joseph are doing much better except for a few fears that still linger. We are steadily praying against those fears. Joseph still does not want to put his face in the water, but we are now blowing bubbles and laughing about it, which is a great improvement for him. Today he even started putting his nose in the water, thank you God for this progress. Morgan's fear is sliding down the slide. She will go under the water but says the slide is too tall. In the picture I hope you can see the fear on her face. I felt so bad for her and I think her swimming instructor did too. So to both my kids I am having to remind them of Psalm 23:4 (NLT) "I will not be afraid for you are close beside me". Morgan has this memorized she just needs a reminder every now and then, Joseph is learning this (I hope).

Also, Sun. night we had a bit of excitement during supper. My dad's girlfriend noticed a turtle going through our backyard. I know that this is not much to get excited about, but when you have little ones this is BIG. They were so excited that we all ran outside to see the turtle (doesn't take much to excite us). Anyway, I have posted a picture of the turtle that caused so much excitement at Sun. dinner.

I started writing this Mon. night but was unable to upload pictures and it just wasn't the same without the pictures, so I am including today's post also. Sorry that everything is so out of order. O.k. today's (Tues.) swimming lesson was GREAT! Joseph went under water (with my help) several times, but he did it! Thank you God! Also, he went down the slide by himself, another fear was overcome by God. YEAH!!!! When he got through he said, "Mommy, I want to do that again." If that don't make your heart pound and put a smile on your face I don't know what will. I am so proud of him! I am also so very thankful to God for answering our prayers. Joseph did so much better in the water today, that it had to be God in there with him. Now we have to work on overcoming the fear of going under water by himself. But I know with God's help he can do it.

Morgan's progress today was also GREAT! She has accomplished a major feat; she has gone down the slide all by herself, YEAH!!! Today she listened very well and did exactly as she was told and when it came time to go down the slide, she did it! It was a funny but precious sight, she got to the top of the slide and I could see her mouth moving and I knew what she was doing. She was quoting scripture, praise God! She was quoting Psalm 23:4 (NLT) "I will not be afraid for you are close beside me". Thank you God it stuck in her head and your word helped her through this fear that she had. When I saw her come down I couldn't do anything but jump up and down, she did it; she tackled her fear head on with God's word. As she walked out the gate she said, "Mommy, I did it! And Jesus was with me." That deserves a great big THANK YOU, God. Not only did she overcome her fear, but she learned scripture that will carry her through anything in life, and she knows that God is always with her. She now has her faith to sustain her.

I know that my children are learning God's word, even when I think that they are not listening, just by watching and listening to them. I am so thankful that I do have God's word to stand on and I am so glad that I am able to help my children learn how loving and caring our Father can be. Yes, God does give us earthly mothers and fathers all of which can you let down from time to time, it's just human nature. But our heavenly Father will never let us down and we can always feel the safety of him being right there with us. I think that when we teach our children about their heavenly Father, I believe that we are showing them how much we care and love for them. And some how they can get it more than we adults can. They can feel His presence, His touch, and hear Him way better than I do most of the time. I let life get in the way and they don't. So not only do they learn from me but I can learn from them, about simplicity. I was told that swimming lessons would wear me out but I didn't think it would be this bad and I'm not even the one taking them. The kids are doing great, though. Morgan is getting better everyday and now she is so proud that she can go under water all by herself. She is so funny sometimes, you can't help but smile when she's around. Joseph on the other hand has the "I don't want to" attitude or I guess I could say "I'll do it when I get ready". I know that one day God is going to use this hard headed and stubborn little boy who also has a tender side for something great. The question is will I make it through this. He is so set in his ways that sometimes I just want to scream. Joseph is taking the mom and me class so I have to get in the water with him, YEAH! Joseph is doing everything they tell him except putting his face in the water. I still praise him because last year he wouldn't even get near the water, so this is a big improvement. Morgan is taking the beginner class along with her friend Rebecca. I have had to tell Morgan to go 2 or 3 kids away from Rebecca because they don't listen, they play and talk; the normal girl stuff. Just a note the picture of someone jumping in the water is Morgan, looks like she's walking on water, doesn't it?

We have been very busy today. I have been catching up on laundry and picking up the house and Michael has been working himself to death outside, trying to get some things done. We went this morning and got some blueberry bushes and Michael got them planted just before it started raining. I hope that we will have some blueberries next year to eat, yum. Michael also worked on the kids swing set, they are going to love it when it gets done. He did all this and trimmed up the yard after working at the church this morning. I also moved some things around so that I could put Morgan and Joseph's little table beside my scrapbook table, so that Morgan can start scrapbooking with me and so that their craft area and mine would be in one spot. She has her own scrapbook and can't wait to put something in it. The funny thing is she has told Joseph to leave her scrapbook stuff alone. Can you guess where she has heard this before? After all this we still have corn to put up, this may wait until tomorrow. Very tired and I know Michael is.

Phew! This is just the beginning of the week

What a week so far! The 4th of July I was on call at work, what a day. Then Sat. my dear husband took the kids outside so that I could sleep, he took care of everything just so I could rest. Thank you God for sending him my way. Sunday was an awesome day at church as well with the family. My Dad came over to eat as well as our next door neighbor and her granddaughter. We are so blessed to have so many friends and family. It's amazing how God works sometimes. He is so AWESOME!

Monday we started swimming lessons and both children did very well. Joseph is now putting his face in the water and blowing bubbles, which is amazing. Morgan is getting better at kicking and going under water in general.

Today, both Joseph and Morgan did great at swimming lessons. They both went off the slide. Morgan was a little more skittish about going down, but she did it and of course I was so proud. Joseph was the first one to go down in his class, and he had fun and wanted to slide down over and over and of course I was a proud momma again. They both are doing great and I am so thankful that we are able to do this. They are having so much fun and so am I watching them.

I am so glad and thankful that I am able to be a part of this and not just hear about it. I was so worried that we wouldn't be able to make it with me staying at home, but God provides. Yes, we have to do without some things, but that is all they are, "things". In the end I'll always have all the memories with my children and my husband and for that I am grateful. God tells us in Matthew 6:25-27 (I am summarizing) not to worry, that we cannot add a single hour to our lives. This is a verse that I have highlighted in my bible because I do have to refer to it often. So thank you God for providing and giving us your word to live by.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blessedandscrappin.blogspot.com/2008/07/phew-this-is-just-beginning-of-week.html' title='Phew! We went to get their hair cut today, which by the way they love to do. They actually race to Mrs. Sherry's chair to see who is going to get their hair cut first. This is such a blessing because I don't have fight with them. Anyway, this is what I saw in my rear view mirror as we were coming home. They had put on their sunglasses and carrying on their own conversation. I just had to get a picture of them; they look too cool. Everytime I look at them I see the awesome work of God in them. They are truly miracles beyond belief.

To give you some history behind them, my husband and I had been married 7 years and wanting to have children the whole time. We had prayed unceasing, little did we know that it just wasn't God's time. 7 1/2 years later (in God's time)we became pregnant with Morgan our first child. During my pregnancy I developed Preeclampsia (your blood pressure goes sky high and the baby stops growing among other things). She was taken 6wks early by emergency c-section due to her heart rate dropping when I had a contraction. She was very tiny, but God gave her a testimony. She needed no oxygen, her lungs were completely developed on their own, she just had to learn how to suck. She stayed in the NICU only 1 week. She is truly a precious miracle from God.

7 months later we were pregnant again, YEAH! The pregnancy was going fine until the 6th month, I started having early contractions. Man, I went to the hospital so many times that they knew who I was when I walked in the door. Finally, in the 8th month he was determined to come out, I developed HELLP syndrome, which is worse than Preeclampsia and is life threatening. So 4 weeks early here came Joseph also by emergency c-section. He was normal weight and didn't have to go to the NICU like his sister did. His lungs were developed due to steroids that were given when the early contractions started. But he was fine and God gave him a testimony of his own. So when I look at them I see miracles. I have often wondered how can anyone say that there is no God, just look around at all His wonderful creations.

I don't know exactly why I wrote all this, I guess there is someone who needed to hear that everything will be o.k. as long as you have faith. Believe in God in all that you do and you will never be alone and He will take care of you, I am proof and so are the two cool dudes above. "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all." His report was good, but he did not like having his finger pricked and was thoroughly upset when Dr. Amy came in to check him out. But all in all everything went well. When Dr. Amy asked about potty training, she could tell by the look on our faces that we were getting no where with that. She confirmed what other people had told us that boys were harder than girls; boys had a mind of their own and boy do we believe that. Even though he is hard headed and stubborn; he is also very lovable when he wants to be. He is one of a kind and I am glad.

Last night (Tues.) we had a surprise birthday party for Michael. He turned 40 while in Honduras, so I couldn't let this milestone go by without doing anything. Just about the whole family was here, his parents and mine, which was a huge blessing. He had no idea until he came home from work. This is the first time that I pulled anything over on him, maybe I should say second, since I did leave balloons and a container of oatmeal in his office for him to find when he got back. He didn't know who did this until he mentioned it when he got home and I couldn't help but laugh, which gave everything away. So happy birthday to my dear hubby.

He's Home

After being gone a week to Honduras on a mission trip my dear husband, Michael is home. Yeah!!! The only thing is he brought something with him. For those of you who know my husband you can see by the picture that he has grown some "grass" (that's what the kids call it) on his chin and we are trying to get use to it. Morgan keeps looking at it and wanting to feel it. I am glad that he finally made it home and so are the kids, we miss him so much when he's gone, but I know that he's doing God's work.

There were 18 from our area that went and they picked up 2 more in Houston. They had such a difficult time getting there with every flight being late, little did they know that they would face the same challenge coming back. But from what I have heard God did some amazing work in them and through them. God is so amazing! He also did some amazing things around here on the homefront. The kids and I spent some quality time together and had such fun especially when we did movie night. We bought the Incredibles and watched it in my and Michael's bedroom, which to them is a special treat, but isn't that the stuff memories are made of?

We are so happy that Michael and the whole mission team made home safe and sound and I hope that God blesses each one of them for the work that they do for Him.

Hello Hi Tech World

Well this is my first time doing anything like this so I am very nervous. My friend JoAnna has talked me into doing this, so we'll see what happens. I am also doing this out of obediance to God, who is number 1 in my life. I have read some other blogs and they have lifted me up and inspired me in a time of need, so I am hoping to do the same. I hope that I will be a positive influence to many, especially my family and friends in my lifetime. I hope that this will leave a legacy behind since I cannot seem to get the journaling thing down, but I can stay at the computer for quite some time, it just seems so much easier than writing. We'll see what happens.
